Our wineries
One of the strong points of Domenio is, without doubt, the wine production capacity. Well known throughout the area, the wineries have innovative and powerful systems for the preparation of wine and cava. Extensive areas for work have been designed exclusively for making wine and cava under the respective Designations of Origin.
There are outstanding wineries at Sant Jaume dels Domenys, the largest and best equipped, at La Bisbal del Penedès, Blancafort, Rodonyà, Pira and, of course, at Rocafort de Queralt, where the famous art nouveau building is exclusively for making cava. This extensive territorial distribution has helped in positioning the organisation as one of the pioneering wine cooperatives in Catalonia.

One of the most important and beautiful examples of Catalan art nouveau from the early 20th century is found in Rocafort de Queralt, in the northeast of Conca de Barberà.
Known as the "cathedral of wine" for its magnificence, it was built in 1918 by Cèsar Martinell, a follower of Antoni Gaudí. This winery, declared a National Asset of Cultural Interest by the Generalitat of Catalonia, is where Cellers Domenys makes the well-known cava Tres Naus.
The façade is a combination of brick and friezes of ceramic tile, with very large windows. Inside the building the three aisles are of great height, supported by parabolic arches (this is the feature that gives the cava made by Domenio its name – Tres Naus or Three Naves). The cellars, below ground level in the winery, provide a cool area with constant temperature throughout the year.
